MARTYRS AND IDOLS: a study in resistance

Sketches and study on canvas of the photo paintings that are in process on studying different methods of painting technique on the subject of resistances. Starting from early medieval icons of saints and martyrs, then transposing this classical technique into a stereotypical design of contemporary pop idols.

The work is based on images taken from real soldiers and martyrs in their operation of theatre of war.
